Needles to reduce stretch marks

In the USA a new treatment has been developed to reduce and remove the appearance of stretch marks and scars. Medical Needling is proving very popular and gaining a lot of attention in terms of what it can do for the skin.

This treatment is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or Micro-Needling. It can be used to treat thin ageing skin, acne scars and stretch marks.

The new treatment involves a small roller which is around two inches wide, which is filled with many tiny needles and is rolled over the skin. It can be used on many different parts of the body and the treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, so even if you had a phobia of needles, you wouldn’t feel the tiny pricks. The idea is that the tiny pin holes left in the skin promote the growth of collagen.

This process is very popular in the US, it is quite a simple process and idea, merely to boost collagen in the body.

If, however you don’t feel like you want to be rollered by hundreds of needles there are other options on the market. Firstly starting with natural products, which you can use as part of a daily beauty routine.

Whether you’re expecting or simply have some marks you want to reduce, using Stretch Mark Oils or cream on a regular basis should help reduce the appearance of stretch marks. This is not a quick fix and you need to be dedicated with this routine. The great things about these products is that you can use them in a number of ways. The oils can be added to your bath water to provide soft smooth skin, or rubbed directly onto the skin where it will sink deep into the dermis.

Failing that, there are treatments on the market such as laser therapy.
